Brazil international Carvalho is regarded as one of the hottest talents in Eastern Europe and has been likened to Ronaldinho and Kaka.
Tuttosport says ambitious Samp, which already boast on-loan Real Madrid striker Antonio Cassano on their books, fancy moving for Carvalho in January.
