Mother and son are both believed to be doing well, but Robinho will not be re-united with them until after this weekend’s El Clasico clash between Real Madrid and Barcelona at Camp Nou.
Robinho found out about his girlfriend’s pregnancy last May and shortly after began dedicating every goal he scored to his unborn child by sucking his thumb.
The 23-year-old also had Robson Junior engraved into his football boots, first showing them off during the Copa America in Venezuela, a tournament he scored six goals in.
Robinho first burst onto the scene as a teenager with Santos and hit the headlines after forming a lethal partnership with fellow star at the time, Diego.
He moved to Real Madrid in 2005, where after a slow start he has exploded into life this season.
The skilful striker debuted for the Brazil national team in 2003, and he has since made 35 appearances, scoring 11 goals.
