The 41 year-old striker is set to continue wearing the Vasco da Gama number 11 as he has been written into the Carioca squad of 25 players down to play the Copa Sudamericana (South American Cup; the equivalent of the UEFA Cup).
The debut match takes place for the Bacalhau with a visit to Atlético Paranaense in Curitiba. It’s still not known if the Baixinho will continue until the end of the Cup. On the other hand keeper Roberto, right-back Thiago Maciel, midfielders Júnior and Ernane as well as striker Martin Carvalho were all left out.
