Ronaldo resists mega MLS offer for new AC Milan contract

Ronaldo is prepared to play on with AC Milan, rather than join LA Galaxy's David Beckham in MLS.

Tuttosport says Milan will offer Ronaldo a 12-month contract extension this month, with the Brazilian expected to sign terms in September. Milan won't consider offering the Brazilian a long-term deal as they want to keep him motivated.

Meanwhile, it's been confirmed Red Bull New York tabled the striker a mega offer last month to quit Italy for the USA's MLS.

The contract offer was made by a high-level American agent who also acts for NBA basketball NFL gridiron football. But Ronaldo won't consider leaving Milan just yet as he sees a move to MLS as a last step before retirement.
